Day 01: </strong>Arrive in Bangalore.
<strong>Welcome to India, the land of million Gods!
</strong>You are welcomed at the airport by our tour executive and transferred to the hotel where you are assisted with your check in. <em>Most flights arrive either in the evening or early morning. Your accommodation is reserved from previous day to guarantee immediate check in</em>.
<strong>Day 02: </strong>Bangalore – Hassan.<strong>
</strong>Start the day with a drive around Bangalore city. Visit Cubbon Park spread over 300 acres of beautiful gardens in the heart of Bangalore. Visit the Karnataka Museum and the Venkatappa Art Gallery within the park. The museum is one of the oldest in the country and was established in 1886. It contains priceless relics from the prehistoric Mohenjo-Daro period and terracotta from Mathura. The Art Gallery is part of the museum and has about 600 paintings from major artists.
You are driven to Hassan after the tour.
<strong>Day 03: </strong>Hassan – Mysore.<strong>
</strong>Drive to visit the ancient town of Belur and Halebid. Belur was the capital of Hoysala rulers and the Chennakeshava temple was built in 1116 by Vishnuvardhana to commemorate the victory of Hoysalas over the Cholas. It is believed the construction of this temple took nearly 103years. Halebid was the second capital of the same kingdom which flourished for over 150years. Art historian James Fergusson wrote “the Hoysaleswara temple may be probably considered as one of the most marvelous exhibitions of human labor to be found…” You are driven to Mysore after the visits.

Day 04: </strong>Mysore.<strong>
</strong>Start your day with a visit to The Mysore Palace, an incredibly opulent structure that is one of the most impressive palaces in the world. You’ll be amazed by its sheer size, the unbelievable richness of its interior, and the beautiful facade of this Indo- Saracenic architectural gem. It was the seat of the Maharajas of Mysore, and the current version was commissioned in 1897 and finished by British architect Henry Irwin in 1912.
Continue your exploration of Mysore, drive to Chamundeswari temple. This 12th century temple overlooks the city and has several granite statues of Nandi (The Bull), including one that is over 15 feet high and 24 feet long. After the temple you pay a visit to St. Philomena’s church, one of the largest churches in India. Built in 1933, its design was based on the Cologne Cathedral in Germany.
Day 05: Mysore – Nagarhole (National Park).<strong>
</strong>Check out and proceed on the drive to Nagarhole. Check into your lodge.
Once the hunting preserves of Mysore Maharaja, Nagarhole is now “Project Elephant & Project Tiger”. It is believed there are over 60 tigers and 80 leopards in the park.
Enjoy a safari through the park in the afternoon.
<strong>Day 06: </strong>Nagarhole – Ooty.
Enjoy a second safari in the morning and return to your lodge for check out.
Check out from your lodge in the morning; you are then driven to Ooty. Meet en route your local guide and visit the tribal village. Continue to drive to Ooty and check into your hotel.
Ooty is located at the tri-junction of the states of Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Karnataka. Ooty was founded by the British in the early 19th century to serve as a summer headquarters of the government of erstwhile Madras presidency. To the north-west of Ooty are splendid downs resembling those of Sussex, while to the west, south and south-west, lofty hill add to the grandeur of the scenery. Its climate is similar to the summer in England.
<strong>Day 07: </strong>Ooty.
Enjoy a travel on UNESCO World Heritage Mountain Train to Coonoor. You are greeted by your driver and the local guide at Coonoor station and then driven to a local family where you have lesson on home chocolate. After your lunch with the local family visit the tea gardens and factory. Return to your hotel after the visits.
<strong>Day 08: </strong>Ooty – Coimbatore/Bangalore – Onward destination.
You are driven to Coimbatore airport or Bangalore airport in time to connect your flight to onward destination.
